Mephistopheles isn’t really interested in the suffering of men, he just has a job to do. Designed to fill the days during the global lockdown, “Mephisto” was a performance without an audience, a devil with no one to seduce trying to shout down the sea.
The vest is hand-produced on my domestic knitting machine, each row of colour hand-placed using reclaimed waste yarn to create the intarsia daemon design.
